I have all kinds of footwear - from high heels to rugged cheap boots. Regarding the former, it's true what they say: high heels are a girl’s best friend. They make you feel sexy, alter the way you walk and hold yourself, and increase your self-confidence. Nothing can replace that feeling of dressing for a night out with friends and slipping your feet into your favourite pair of stilettos to complete the look. Even dressed down with jeans for a daytime look, heeled boots can take your outfit to the next level and turn heads everywhere you go. Studies have shown that high heels give an impression of longer, leaner legs, which is why many women use them to enhance the appearance of their body shape, and also explains why so many of us exude confidence when wearing a flattering pair of heels. Team them with a shapely pencil skirt for a sultry 50’s look, or with a little black dress for the perfect party look. High heels truly are one of the most versatile fashion items a woman can own, and every woman should own at least one pair. |

It seems nowadays that feminism is completely gone in society. Yes, there are feminists, but acting and dressing very femininely seems so passe in today's world.
Don't get me wrong - I love the choices we have today when it comes to fashion - even brands like Hotter shoes that make shoes for the larger person!
But also, why not embrace being a woman and dress to enhance that? Over the years, I've accumulated almost a hundred dresses. Now, before you go judging me for being a shopaholic, I've gotten a number of these dresses at discount and vintage stores. Styles today are cut almost masculine, and it is almost refreshing to see someone with a beautiful flowing dress that accentuates curves without erring on the side of trashy. Unfortunately it seems that these types of clothing can only be found in vintage stores that sell more old-fashioned styles. However, it does ensure that I will never be dressed the same as anyone else! I've gotten more compliments on my most feminine of dresses than on any jeans and top combo I've ever worn! |

I am a Southern girl, born and bred. My fairytale wedding, therefore, had to include the things that were true to my roots and traditions - so that meant none of the usual wedding accessories like wedding tiaras and white dresses - it wasn't our style. I knew going into this that this was going to be a once in a life time affair and that I had this one chance to have what I wanted, my way, or it just wasn't going to reflect who we were as a couple. I was escorted down the isle by my father as family and friends looked on with tears of joy overflowing from their eyes. As soon as the vows were complete and the marriage was sealed with a kiss, the party began. Our wedding cake was camouflage complete with hunter orange trim. Our wedding song, "Welcome 2 The Party" by Kid Rock was just the ticket to setting off a night of fun. Our wedding toast was given by our best man and followed up with a complete round of Jello shots. When we departed the reception hall, we did so on a 4-wheeler complete with tied on beer cans and a sign that read "Just Hitched." It may not be every little girls dream wedding fantasy, but it was mine and I will never regret the decision to do it this way. We had a wonderful night surrounded by family and friends and our wedding is still being talked about 13 years later. |

Rarely do we see women without make-ups on their faces. They put on some make-up not only when going to work but also when shopping at the mall, eating out with friends, going to church or just hanging around with people. It is indeed part of their fashion and style. Although there are still some women who would rather not wear any make-up, either because they're not comfortable with putting anything on their faces or they simply don't know how to apply without looking like a clown. So, here are little make up tips to help you out with your looks to enhance those hidden assets of your face.
First thing you must remember is that you should know what the color of your skin is, shades that match your skin tone and what kind of make-up suits you. You should not wear too much make-up during the day. The clothes you wear and the activities you'll be doing should match the shades of color you apply on the face. Use foundation, concealer, lipstick, eye shadows, eyeliners, mascara or tools (i.e. brushes, sponges, clumps) from trusted brands so allergies are prevented. Lastly, everything you put on must match your personality, don't overdo your make-up. |

Pearls are the only gemstones which are found inside living creatures and require no cutting or polishing before they can be formed into beautiful jewellery. The other distinctive feature of pearls is that they are worn almost exclusively by one gender – women – peals are still the most feminine of all gemstones. Pearls are officially the June Birthstone and are almost all brides will be found wearing pearls of one type or another. The commercial process of pearl farming which has given rise to an increase in the amount of freshwater pearl jewellery available started in Lake Biwa in Japan in the late 1920’s. They did have problems with pollution and viral diseases but progress has been made in this area in breeding resistant molluscs so there may be a return to the production levels which were once seen there. The centre for production now is China and advances in farming techniques there have seen a steady rise in the quality of the gems and therefore the quality of the freshwater pearl jewellery produced. |
